1U rack NVR designed for medium and large camera systems built on the UniFi Protect platform.

The device is equipped with a Qualcomm Kryo processor on Arm Cortex architecture (4 nm) with a total of 8 cores and 8 GB RAM, while the integrated Edge AI enables vector object encoding, semantic search, image-based search, and advanced person re-identification (ReID) directly on the device. The system supports deployment of up to 60 HD, 50 2K, or 30 4K cameras.

Recording storage is provided by 4 drive bays for 2.5" or 3.5" drives with RAID support and a maximum drive power budget of 75 W. Network connectivity is handled by a 10G SFP+ port and a 2.5 GbE RJ-45 port. The device also supports physical access management via the UniFi Access application and connection of more than 150 access hubs.

Integrated Edge AI enables semantic search, image-based search, and person re-identification (ReID) without the need for external hardware.
Support for up to 30 4K cameras, 50 2K cameras, or 60 HD cameras in a single system.

Management and Software
The NVR G2 is managed via the UniFi Protect application (version 7.1.55 or later) and UniFi Access (version 4.2.16 or later). Management is performed over Ethernet or Bluetooth. The device supports migration from existing UniFi Protect deployments; the migration process depends on system configuration, backup availability, and software version.

Mounting and Installation
The device is designed for mounting in a 19" rack (1U). For secure installation, the included sliding rack rails (UniFi Sliding Rack Rails) are recommended, especially after populating the drive bays, as the total weight increases significantly. For installations in two-post racks without rail support, a rack shelf providing bottom support is recommended.
