RouterBoard RB493G is even more powerful version of the RB493AH. The heart of RouterBOARD is the 680MHz network processor! This is absolutely perfect for providers who want to share the internet via LAN and WiFi without additional equipment.
This RouterBoard can be a good replacement for the RB600 which has already been disabled. With USB (v.2.0) is possible to connect flash memory or external hard drives and use it as an FTP repository.
Compared to the previous version (RB493AH) the RAM was increased to the double size!. Of course it supports PoE, thus eliminating the need to have an outlet near the RouterBOARD.
Mikrotik RouterOS fully supports IPv6 network and in the current version are implemented following functions:
- Static address allocation and routing
- Router advertisement daemon (the address autoconfiguration)
- Dynamic routing: BGP +, OSPFv3, and RIPng protocol
- Firewall (filter, Mangle, address lists)

- Fetch and sniffer tools
